Big, Stout AQHA Gelding (Huntsville / Brazoria) $5000

“Jose” (Enterprising Twist) is an 11 Y/O ranch gelding. He stands 16 hands and weighs 1250 lbs. I bought him as a four year old from Red Thomason (Box T Quarter Horses) who is an excellent cutting horse trainer. “Jose” is Jose Uno and Poco Bueno bred. He was started as a cutting horse but outgrew the sport. He can do everything the short little cutters can do its just that the short horses look more flashy doing it. I have used him for the past 7 years to work cattle. He has a great disposition and is an easy keeper. No bad habits. Guaranteed sound. He is truly a pleasure to ride and work off of, especially at this age.

Years back he could be a little bit of a bronc from time to time, but it was never out of meaness, he just felt good. Over the past couple of years he has proven to be very reliable regardless of how good he feels. I have roped alot of cattle off him in the pasture when the need arose, he can really push into his collar and pull and keeps his cool regardless of how exciting the situation. Jose would be an excellent prospect for team roping. I have competed in ranch rodeos and pasture ropings with him and won more than I lost. Also an excellent ride if you’re into team penning or sorting.

My job has taken me away from the Huntsville area. My two sons have taken up my time. I hate to part with him, but he is too nice of a ride not to have a job. When you look at the pictures, keep in mind that I am 6’5″ and weigh 295. The pictures of him with my lovely wife, give a better indication of his size. Wife not for sale or lease. I am roughly two hours away from Huntsville, so I can only show him by appointment. Please email with any questions or to set up a date and time to try him. His kind of size, strength, and agility is a rare combination. Price is some what negotiable to the right buyer. Serious riders only, will not sell him to anyone without the means to care for him properly.

Super Sweet 5 year old Horse/Gelding for Sale (Columbus, Tx) $1500

Super Sweet 5 year old Horse/Gelding for Sale – $1500 (Columbus, Tx)

Reply to: 5xnhs-3013563933@sale.craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Wildfire is a sweet 5 year old cropped out 15 H paint gelding that I have raised from a baby. He is very friendly, easy to catch, bathe, trailer load, and stand for the farrier. He neck reins, knows leg pressure, side passes, has a smooth trot and is a little hard in the mouth compared to my other horses. We are working on maintaining his lope and picking up the right lead. He just learned how to open a gate and I have been working despooking techniques with him for quite a while. He has been riding trail rides for about a year and I ride him quite frequently at 7 IL. Wildfire can be lazy riding around my home but when you take him on a trail ride he perks up and is so happy to be around other horses. He last had his coggins, vaccines and teeth floating in March and his feet are trimmed every 4 weeks. He has a very loving personality and has never offered to rear or buck. If you are looking for a horse to trail ride or just ride on your property he is your man. I would prefer he go to a home that has some acreage versus being kept in a pen for this is what he is used to. For any further questions please contact Cathy at 979-733-0105.

Palomino POA Riding Pony Mare – $600 (Beaumont Area)

7 year old, 11.2 hand, palomino, POA, pony mare for sale. She is super sweet, knows her name and comes when you call her. Catch her anywhere, loads, hauls, stands tied, handle her feet with no problem, is easy to saddle and just has no bad habits that I know of. Ginger rides more like a big horse and can be quick, nice little neck rein and stop, so I would say she is for a more experienced kid and would probably make an excellent kid’s playday pony. She will ride bareback as well and gets along with other horses. $600 and a good home. Call or text (4O9) 79O-193O

Arabian/Paint mix mare for sale-make reasonable offer (Waller/Magnolia) $500

She’s approx 4-5 years old, training has started, but still needs work. She is halter broke, lifts her feet and lets me clean them, loves to be brushed, I can touch her anywhere, and she loads well. We have worked a lot on lunging, she’s getting it, does better without the whip. She’s good and stands still while putting her saddle and bridle and everything on. She’s good for being led around. We’ve also put weight in her stirrups and on her back, and she’s been doing good with that. We have walked her around with someone leaning over her back, but not all the way on yet, just have been taking training slow. She has not been ridden yet, that was going to be our next step. She needs someone experienced with horses and that understands their training, or is willing to find and work with a trainer. Very friendly, definitely has a drive to please. She may need a bit refresher, as I haven’t been able to really work with her since January or so. The only reason I’m selling her is I just don’t have the time for her, and I’m pregnant and have a toddler, so I know there is no way I am going to be able to get her trained to be ridden any time soon, and it’s probably better I don’t have a horse at all until my kids are older, and I can spend more time with it. She likes other horses, she lives with my Mother-In-Law’s 5 horses and does great. She goes through about a bale of hay and a bag of feed a week, I feed her the Lone Star 12-5 feed, it’s what she was on when I got her, so I kept her on it. She deserves a great home where she will get plenty of attention, and training. I’m sure she can do just about anything wanted of her with the right training and person. She is for sale to a good home, asking $500, or make a resonable offer. We are in between Waller and Magnolia off of FM1488, in the Fieldstore area. It takes about 20 minutes or so to get here off of Highway 290. I can be reached at (612)390-1854, its a cell phone, I used to live in Minnesota, hence the strange area code. I can also be reached by replying to the email above, either to call you back or questions that way, I understand my phone is a long distance number, and many people can’t call long distance.

Hello,
I have a 2003 CM 2 horse trailer for sale. It is in GREAT condition with brand new tires from discount tire. I think they’re 8 ply and they have the discount tire warranty on them. This trailer is extra tall, all lights inside and outside work and it has full electric brakes…(brake box located inside tack room). The trailer has some rust on the roof and needs to be painted, outside only, from sitting in the sun and my horse decided to chew on one of the interior panels so it needs to be recovered. Inside has a swinging divider and full cushion where the horses stand. Floor is in MINT condition and has new rubber mats. Welcome to any inspection, clean title in hand. Call or text 713-542-7094 for more information. Thank you.

Grey Arabian Mare (Magnolia, TX) $2000

Registered Beautiful Grey Arabian Mare – Bint Tesa Jazira – Born 3/27/2004. 14 1/2 hands

Is broke to ride, turns, side passes, backs and pivots. Does all this with just halter and lead rope. She is still somewhat green so does need an experienced rider. She rides smooth, neck reins, she has been trail riding. ready to be trained for a discipline.

original add from breeder, has Pedigree: http://www.equinehits.com/horses-for-sale/horse-152996

She started her show career as a weanling with a RES CH in Halter! She has large nostrils with lots of snort, a straight tail carriage over her back, charisma, a showy attitude, and lots of trot. She has a very dishy head with tippy ears, a great shoulder and a long hip. Jazira has great potential as a CE performer. She is Egyptian sired by a gorgeous classic head SE Stallion and out of a predominately Polish mare. Her dam won money on the racetrack, but would have just as easily won in CEP if she had been shown. This filly can be your next winner too!

Additional pictures upon request. Serious buyers contact Steve 281-259-six one nine two

Western saddle

This is a nice saddle. I was given the saddle for helping a friend out. Unfortunately, it doesn’t fit my horses. As soon as I find my tape, I”ll measure the gullet. My horses take a 7 1/2 and this one is too wide so I’m thinking 8″. I can’t find a maker’s mark but the saddle is made of good quality leather.

I have several other things for sale and would make a package deal.

Half Hearted, Well Trained, Haflinger, Gentle for Anyone

  • What our customers say

First of all, when we were there in May, Josh and his mom, Tracey took us on a wonderful trail ride. Thanks again ya’ll. You were all so kind. We bought Little Red Man DB and Cheyenne. You guys know your horses!! Cheyenne is the best! Calm, inquisitive and very loving. He is somewhat a sleepy-head in the mornings. But he loves to show his joy by kicking up his heels and running around! Also a very, very smart horse. Li’l Man is more staid, but he is very intelligent also and quite nosy. He insists on being the last put up for the evening, making sure the other two horses are in their stalls before going to his own. They have been on trail rides and have done absolutely wonderful. They really don’t mind meeting new horses either. Again, thank you.
Raymond and Tina Hardie, Seminole, TX

I just want to say thank you for all your help everyone at A Ranch Horse was so helpful and always answered every question I had. This horse has made me soooo happy and has helped build my confidence I am now not scared to ride or be around horses.
    Ashley, Leesville, LA

We decided some time ago to try and find a hosre that would be safe for us to ride. Neither of us have been on a horse in a very long time and wanted to be safe while we got “back in the saddle” as they say! We found your web site and got so excited about what we saw. We came down to your facility that weekend and bought 2 horses. We left with AWE SHUCKS and WORDON’S FAVORITE and absolutely love them both!!!! They suit us both perfectly. You guys really know your horses and we recommend your facility to anyone looking to find the right horse.

    Hi Lisa Dustin,

Just wanted to let you know that Sand Dollar, my Tennessee Walker I bought from you in January, has added such a dimension to my life. Having not ridden in 40 years, I was a little leery of my boy, and since he was basically a rescue, I had no way of knowing how he was treated or trained in his previous life. We’ve gotten to know one another pretty well in the past 4 months. He’s turned out to be such a big ole’ mama’s boy that I’ve had to set some boundaries for him, which he’s slowly learning to accept. He’s still a little confused about his gaits, but we’re working on them, and riding him on a good day is like riding a marble, smooth as glass. It’s such a thrill to see him really lay ‘em down, arch his neck and let that tail fly! It’s hard to find a Walker in these parts, but he was worth the search. Hope to see you again soon.

    Thanks again!

Dustin over here at the ranch helped me pick out both my horses. I bought my first, a flea bitten grey gelding in January and my palimino mare in May. He did an excellent job of fitting me with the horses. I needed a true slow beginner horse in the gray and that is what I got. My 2nd horse needed to be a little faster and a little more spunky. He was right on with the horses he helped me pick, I would recommend letting him help you pick a horse. He is a really knowledgeable on horses and a super nice guy. Thanks again Dustin!

To everyone reading this testimonial, I just want to say this is the place to go if you want a good horse and great help! My family and I had looked and looked and looked for a pretty horse and found little to nothing… untill we found Saw Dust (who we have decided to rename Maverick)! He was (and is) gorgeous, but we thought it was too good to be true. But sure enough, when we got there we were nothing close to disappointed on how he turned out! I think what made us like Catlyn and Clay most was they were honest with us and I learned a lot just from a short visit! Maverick is now my baby and I am so glad we picked him! Thanks also to Lisa for helping us on the phone;). You guys are more than amazing and please keep up the inspiring work!
    Shelby, Hutto

Went down to ride her that afternoon and brought her home. She was my little boy’s birthday gift and needless to say, she is probably happy he went back to school today so she could get some rest. He has rode her ALL weekend. Thanks A Ranch Horse for selling us what you said you were. I will be back!!

We bought Maverick a few weeks ago… and LOVE this horse. He is as sweet as can be on the ground and super fun to ride. Thanks for the honesty and help in finding a horse that met all our needs.

We bought Spark Plug and had him shipped, based on the video and your recommnendation for a calm, safe trail horse. Having never bought a horse without testing and seeing first we were leery, but from day one, this horse has far exceeded all of our expectations. We are experienced horse people with 3 other horses. This horse is well trained, very broke, sound and an absolute beauty. He even knows how to bow! He is an “in your pocket’ guy who loves people. Clearly someone loved him very much- we just adore him. Thanks!!!!!

We put a down payment on a horse and a week later were able to make the 290 mile trip to pick it up. The horse was just too green and really did not meet my needs at all. Without any fuss the down payment was transfered to the purchase of another horse that actually fit my needs. We rode and tried out several horses before Catlin, Clay and I were satasfied. We ended up with two great horses and several great new friends. This is absolutely the place to go. Thanks Lisa, Clay and Catlin and all your wonderful staff. I will certainly recommend you to others.

  • What our customers say

I want to give a Special thanks to Dustin for helping me out with finding the right horse. Jackpot, now known as Sampson is all I could want and more. Whoever wrote his summary was right on the money he has so much personality, he helps the farm owners and hands do everything just by keeping them company. Jackpot is slow but if I ask him with encouragement he still remembers how to stretch his legs like an ex-race horse….how fun!

    Thanks Lisa and Dustin…yall rock!

Oh my God!!! My brother in law came by yesterday to check out my Ginger. He rode her and she just strutted her stuff. Of course, he is a seasoned cowboy and knew exactly what to do with her, but, she side stepped and somehow he got her to pivot with her head in center and she moved in circles , almost like a dance. She pranced around like she knew she was the most beautiful creature in the world. She held her head up high and her tail up high too!!!—My brother in law said he would teach me to ride her so she does this and he said I better make sure I rode her everyday…and to trust her. I guess he saw that I was a little uncomfortable on her because she kept wanting to follow him around

Thanks!!!!!

I wanted to tell you that I really appreciate you working with me on this problem, sometimes people sell horses just to get rid of them, but I can tell that you really are a rescue facility by the way you are offering to help fix our problem. I will make it a point to tell everybody how you operate.

Thank you for outlaw. He is the best horse in the world! We all love him and he has helped me to build up my confidence to start running again. I want to do barrels again and my dad is very proud of me. Dustin gave us the best horse EVER!

I called A Ranch Horse inquiring on Two Squirts of Honey last Friday. Was told she was a great kids horse, which is what I was looking for. Went down to ride her that afternoon and brought her home. She was my little boy’s birthday gift and needless to say, she is probably happy he went back to school today so she could get some rest. He has rode her ALL weekend. Thanks A Ranch Horse for selling us what you said you were. I will be back!!

My six year old daughter rides him and loves his trot, and when the adults ride him he will go straight into a lope and lope for days if you ask him to… just exactly what we described we wanted in a horse…. Thanks for the honesty and help in finding a horse that met all our needs.

Trailer going from San Antonio to Cheyenne WY (San Antonio) $1200

Just as it says, I’m hauling from San Antonio to Cheyenne WY in early July and then back again in late July. I have empty slots available for both ways. So if you need a horse hauled up to Wyoming (or anywhere along the way), or from Wyoming/Colorado back down, I have room. My trailer is modified to hold six horses on the slant, I have room for three more on the way up and four on the way back.

$1,200 for the first horse, $800 each additional.

Horses must be WELL halter broke, and trailer ready/tie. Current health certs and Coggins and brand inspections will be required on all horses. Other paperwork (bill of sale, contracts, whatever) are between you and the other person. No sick or lame horses will be taken. That includes extremely emaciated horses or those with hooves like sleds. I don’t want people thinking I’m some kind of animal hoarder along the way.

Payment will be required in advance, I’ve been burned too many times hauling for people, so no “I O U”!

Thanks!!!!!

From the first minute I talked to Dustin it was a great experience! I found such great horses there and can’t wait to have them delivered! The whole process was so smooth and pleasant as Dustin Lisa and Ben were all fantastic!! We will be back soon for more horses!! Thank you again!!

We bought Maverick a few weeks ago… and LOVE this horse. He is as sweet as can be on the ground and super fun to ride. My six year old daughter rides him and loves his trot, and when the adults ride him he will go straight into a lope and lope for days if you ask him to… just exactly what we described we wanted in a horse…. Thanks for the honesty and help in finding a horse that met all our needs.

I bought a beautiful nicely bred
buckskin gelding a couple of weeks ago I absolutely love him. He is a lot of fun to ride!
He exceeded my expectations in looks for sure he is a gentle giant! He loads like a dream has a lot of get up go he was represented as advanced. I bought him sight unseen he has been a joy on our farm!! I will be checking back with you when I’m in the market again! Thanks, Amy Murry
